I wouldn’t go that far, and I wouldn’t call it excipient but rather risk factor in certain cases. It has been shown that NOx species from the air can cause nitrosation ov vulnerable amines under the right conditions (hot, humid, high air flow). During storage in primary packaging the risk seems to low, expect a publication on that matter hopefully until end of the year.
