The article " The Landscape of Small and Drug Substance Related Nitrosamines in Pharmaceuticals”. published in Elsevier journal is a very up to date review of the methods and different drug products where nitrosamine and related substances were found. This paper critically discuss potential sources of nitrosamines and gives a brief outlay of various control strategies adopted in commercial synthesis for mitigation of these toxic compounds in drug products.
