I am a Medicinal Chemist currently working as a Development Chemist at Orion Corporation (Global Operations) in the Nitrosamine Risk Assessment unit. I am also a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki with over ten years of experience in international and multidisciplinary research teams. I earned my Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology from the University of Pavia (2012), Italy. I moved to Finland to pursue my doctoral studies at the University of Helsinki, which I visited in 2011 for my Master’s thesis project, “Protein Kinase C: synthesis of a C1 domain-binding compound as an immobilizable tool for affinity chromatography”. I joined the Doctoral Programme in Drug Research (University of Helsinki) in 2014, working on the project “New Protein Kinase Modulators for Cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease”. That same year, I received two personal grants from the Magnus Ehrnrooth and Finnish Cultural Foundations. I delivered presentations on my research at several international events including the conferences “Protein Kinase C Signalling in Health and Disease” (Dublin, June 2014) and multiple MedChem-related conferences (e.g. EFMCs 2015, 2017–22, Paul Ehrlich MedChem Euro PhD Network 2014, 2017-18, and GPEN 2022). I currently live in Helsinki, Finland, where I enjoy climbing, singing in a Punk Rock band, skydiving, and hiking in my spare time.
