Dr. Snodin et.al published this excellent paper related to the mechanism of nitrosamine mutagenicity and rodent carcinogenicity. The paper includes lots of insights related to the metabolic activation and deactivation of nitrosamines such as α-carbon hydroxylation, oxidative N-dealkylation, denitrosation of nitrosamines, β-carbon hydroxylation. It helps characterizing NDSRIs’ mutagenic/carcinogenic risk. It’s amazing!!
