Dear All,
Does anyone from the community is having the information about the software available to predict the amount of generation of NDSRI in the product? We need to feed some information like molecular weight, pKa, concentration of excipients along with their nitrite content and as output we get the trend of the generation of NDSRI impurity with time.
Earlier also similar topic was created on Berkeley Madonna Software. But is there any free software available for the same purpose?

Hi,
You could do it in an Excel file. Then if needed validate the Excel sheet.

I understand the kinetic model the colleague is looking for more input is the one from Potential for the Formation of N-Nitrosamines during the Manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients: An Assessment of the Risk Posed by Trace Nitrite in Water | Organic Process Research & Development (acs.org)
Where you could in most case simulate a liquid enviornment as worst case and calculate the quantity of nitrosamine formed after a certain period of time.

Thanks a lot for taking a time to respond my query.
The excel is very good, but some parameters I am not able to understand like % conversion and Base and Salt % in different manufacturing process (DC and WG).
On what bases these parameters to be added in the excel sheet is still out of my reach.
I think this will be a possible discussion in the November 6-7 Session
