Tox Data/Testing

Please, explain to me like I’m a chemist. As I understood the presentations this week, the Enhanced Ames test & Comet test could be used to qualitatively derisk a nitrosamine. Then, duplex sequencing should become the gold standard for quantitative limit setting. What guides this work, fully? We are not just talking about duplex sequencing itself, right?

I saw a thread on this previously that there was only one company performing this work, Twinstrand, but they don’t even have a way to contact them on their website. Not exactly sure how one moves forward with this.

We have personally heard two folks here explaining it very well for non-toxicologists… @jbercu and @conudel
